Curiosity

They say it killed the cat.  (Of course, “they” did.)

Why? Because it falls directly into the “be careful of what you ask for” bucket.

I call it necessary.  Like breathing.

Curiosity is the original fountain of youth.  The elixir of life.

Your own personal door to freedom.  Anytime you want it.

IF you know to access and use it.

All it takes is YOU giving YOURSELF permission to “muck about.”

YOU, giving yourself permission to wonder about anything you want.

There are no timelines, no limitations, no critics.  Just you.

Totally free to wander around, in the safety and privacy of your own heart and mind.

Wondering away — about anything you want and in any way YOU choose.

  • Daydreaming.

  • Remembering.

  • Questioning long-held beliefs and patterns of thinking to see if they still apply to Today’s You.

  • Trying on new feelings and ideas for size, fit, and custom tailoring options.

  • Wondering what to make of what’s going on in your inner world and how it connects, if at all, to your outer world.  And vice verse.

  • Excavating deep and long- buried hurts and fears as they reveal themselves to see if you can withstand the scrutiny and accept the compassion they deserve in the light of day and in the heart of Today’s You.

  • Acknowledging when you may need to seek outside, expert help in support of your wondering.

  • Learning how to hear, trust and cultivate your own inner wisdom as you become more and more familiar and integrated with your own inner self.

It sounds simple. It is.  As simple as Nike’s famous tagline: Just Do It.  BUT simple does not equal easy.

Is it worth it?  Only you can say.  Personally, I wouldn’t trade my freedom to “muck about” for anything. It is what makes life worth living.

From my heart to yours: may you wander often and wonder always, knowing you are not alone in your journey.
